Durham Recreation & Park District Data Sheet
Durham Recreation and Park District (DRPD or District) is located along the western border of Butte County extending east beyond State Highway 149. The District is bordered by the City of Chico on the north, Feather River Recreation and Park District on the east, the Richvale area on the south, and Glenn County on the west. The Southern Pacific railway runs north-south through the center of the District. The DRPD has an area of approximately 182 square miles (116,645 acres) and includes the unincorporated communities of Durham, Nelson, and Dayton, as well as surrounding unincorporated rural areas. It currently maintains 34 acres of developed parkland and provides a variety of recreational programming and related services, including a swim center, various parks, and a memorial hall.

Governing Board
Meeting Information: The Board of Directors meets on the second Thursday of each month, and agendas are posted at the District business office on the exterior message board at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled meeting.
